Held in Gdańsk, Poland, from 26–29 September 2026, the conference brings renal-care professionals together to share knowledge and improve patient care. Elenor Mårtensson, d.HOLIDAY Global Customer Manager, Malgorzata Pozniak, d.HOLIDAY Coordiantor Poland, and Paulina Walkowiak, d.HOLIDAY Coordinator Spain, represented d.HOLIDAY at the Diaverum booth.
“Nurses know their patients and often understand both their hopes and their concerns. A conversation with someone they trust can help patients realise that travelling may be possible and feel more comfortable taking the first step towards planning,” says Paulina Walkowiak.

With a presence in 26 countries worldwide and more than 470 clinics welcoming holiday dialysis patients, Diaverum supports patients who wish to travel while continuing their treatment.
“Our mission is to help patients and their families understand their options and feel supported in exploring them. This means making clear, practical information available and working closely with the nurses and clinic teams they trust. Through d.HOLIDAY, we want more patients to feel empowered and supported while planning journeys that matter to them,” says Elenor Mårtensson.

During the 54th edition of the conference, Marta Olim d.HOLIDAY Coordinator in Portugal also presented her project, “Let’s Travel Together”, highlighting how holiday dialysis can be much more than a holiday programme. It is about empowering people on dialysis to travel, regain confidence, maintain autonomy and live a fuller life beyond treatment.
Whether travelling to see family, for work or for a holiday, patients need information they can trust. By sharing knowledge with nurses and listening to their experiences, d.HOLIDAY continues to strengthen the support that helps patients explore travel in partnership with their care team.
