At its core, the summit is about championing and sharing concrete solutions that make tourism more accessible for everyone. Its vision is to build a worldwide network of destinations that truly welcome all travellers, including those with specific access needs. This ambition closely mirrors Diaverum’s own commitment: enabling patients to live fulfilling lives. Through our global holiday dialysis programme, d.HOLIDAY, we support renal care patients and their families in travelling with confidence – helping them realise their travel dreams while maintaining safe continuity of care wherever they choose to go. In this spirit, Diaverum participated actively in the summit as an Official Sponsor.
Held at the Lingotto Conference Centre, the 2025 edition became a vibrant meeting point for dialogue, innovation and action. Speakers and delegates explored practical ways to make tourism genuinely inclusive, with discussions spanning destination management, hospitality and safety, mobility, the role of technology and AI, and the promotion of accessible cultural tourism.
The programme attracted a number of high-profile participants, including Italy’s Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, and Minister for Disabilities, Alessandra Locatelli. Also in attendance were Zoritsa Urosevic, Executive Director, UN Tourism; Alessandra Priante, President, ENIT; Pierluigi Di Palma, President, ENAC; and Anna Grazia Laura, President, ENAT – underlining the summit’s importance on the international stage.
Diaverum was represented by Elenor Mårtensson, Global Customer Manager for d.HOLIDAY, who took part in B2B meetings and connected with specialised travel agencies from several European markets. Reflecting on the experience, Elenor said:
“I’m truly proud of our d.HOLIDAY programme and the difference it makes in helping people on dialysis experience the freedom of travel. At Diaverum, we’re deeply committed to raising awareness about the possibilities of safe and worry-free travel.”
Also present were Marta Olim, d.HOLIDAY Coordinator for Diaverum Portugal; Paulina Walkowiak, d.HOLIDAY Coordinator for Diaverum Spain; Maria Chiara Durio, Country Managing Director for Diaverum Italy; and Valentina Regoli, Office Assistant for Diaverum Italy. Together, they hosted visitors at the Diaverum exhibition area – welcoming guests, sharing insights about Diaverum’s mission, and proudly showcasing the d.HOLIDAY programme throughout the summit.
