Being on a kidney transplant list shouldn’t stop people from travelling. At Diaverum, we’re committed to empowering all patients to live fulfilling lives.

Our d.HOLIDAY Fly Back Programme was developed to address a key concern for many eligible kidney transplantation patients that can severely curtail their mobility and freedom of movement – that is, what should happen if they get the call from their transplantation coordinator whilst being away from their normal base of treatment?

The programme facilitates travel arrangements for holiday patients who receive their transplant call while travelling within Europe. It funds the fastest travel options from the holiday destination all the way back to the transplant hospital, aiming to get you back home safely in time for your procedure.

To be eligible for the d.HOLIDAY Fly Back Programme, you must:

  • Be confirmed to receive/be receiving/have completed holiday treatment in a Diaverum clinic through the d.HOLIDAY programme at the time

  • Alert Diaverum and the holiday clinic that you are active on a transplant list while booking your treatment.

  • Travel within Europe (see specific list of countries in FAQs section).
